Dynamet, a subsidiary of Carpenter Technology Corporation, is
headquartered in Washington, Pennsylvania and employs approximately 290 people. The
company was founded in 1967 and its first manufacturing facility was open for business
April 1, 1968. The company manufactured titanium wire to be made into aerospace fasteners.
Since then, Dynamet has grown to be a leading domestic and
international supplier of titanium alloy products for the aerospace, medical, consumer,
motorsports and recreation industries. The markets for titanium are rapidly expanding and
Dynamet is growing to meet the new demands.
In June 2002 Dynamet entered into a strategic marketing alliance with
Renton Coil Spring Company to exclusively supply Renton with Dynamet UPG Beta
